Extreme Rock Paper Scissors Superbowl ad from Bud Light. Low five!
Aquila pronounced AK-weh-lah, uh-KWILL-uh or even a-kee-laa, means eagle in Latin. Just like the eagle, this blog is my “bird’s eye view” on situations or topics that I happen to come across in my daily life.

“When American brothers Todd and Jan Wolfhouse travel to Germany to spread their grandfather’s ashes at Oktoberfest, they stumble upon a super-secret, centuries old, underground beer games competition - “Beerfest,†the secret Olympics of beer drinking.”
Sounds like this could be quite a fun movie. The trailer is very funny indeed.

This is not a review of the new Superman Returns movie as yet, but rather a completely trivial piece of information to tell you that I’m off to go see it on Friday night.
I have received mixed reviews one and offline, so I’m quite interested to go see it for myself. Untill then, you’ll just have to be content with some of the trailers and video clips to keep you entertained.

I admitted some time last year that the Da Vinci Code book wasn’t that bad…but I hate to admit it, the movie was as bland as an unseasoned, steamed chicken breast.
Adding to the slight frustration was the fact that the doors to the theatre opened 15 minutes later than planned. There were way to many people in a confined space for my liking. Fast forward past the playing time for the trailers and the 2hr 30 min running time of the main feature and we only got to leave the cinema after 00:00, right in the middle of a JHB cold-front. But pleasantries aside….
Cherryflava pointed out that some critics were already throwing tomatoes at the film, prior to the big world-wide launch.
Speaking of Rotten Tomatoes, the movie and game review site of the same name also mentions that critics have reached consensus - “What makes Dan Brown’s novel a best seller is evidently not present in this dull and bloated movie adaptation…”.
Religious uprising aside, it probably won’t win tons of cinematic awards, but it will probably hit a high note at the box office.
