RSVP For SA Blog Awards

// March 16th, 2005 // 1 Comment » // Blog Awards

Image hosted by Photobucket.comAs you all know by now, the Johannesburg chapter of the 2005 SA Blog Awards ceremony will be held tomorrow (Thursday, 17 March 2005) at Cool Runnings in Melville from 19h00 onwards. The guys from Jo’blog are organising it and just informed us that they now need to make a booking.

So if you intend on joining all of us, phone their office on (011) 794 6445, ask for Sam and leave your details.

So I phoned to RSVP, expecting to be greeted by the hold music, only to find D’ave answering the phone. Wondered if it was a recording or not….a moment of silence….and then the realisation that it was not. I felt like a tit.

Guess we’ll laugh about it tomorrow night.

PS: Sam does sound hot, par for the scratchy connection.

We’re Open

Well it’s the year 2005, which will hopefully bring with it loads of new beginnings and exciting experiences.

I may have one cellphone less (apparently playing catch with a cell is not so bright idea after all) and may have picked up a kilo or so over the festive season, but I think this year is the start of something great.

While I’m on the topic of cellphones – I’m due for an upgrade at the end of the month and any suggestions are welcomed. I was thinking of getting either the Nokia 9500 Communicator or the Sony Ericsson P910i, since Vodacom suddenly decided not to support the I-mate PDA-2K or the HP Ipaq H6340 on contract any more.

On the other hand, should I be an early adopter and go for one of the new 3G contracts while I have the chance? But then those new phones suck a little on the looks department.

Decisions, decisions.

On another note, if you’re in the JHB area, why not join us for the Jhb Blogging Dinner set for the 13th of January 2005. See you there!
