LHC will rock you in the head

Much to the dismay of some people, the world didn’t come to a cataclysmic end yesterday. As most media reports noted, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) project at the Geneva-based European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) was switched on to “smash stuff together and see what other stuff comes out” [via].
The surprise “hit” of the whole shebang was actually a video by Kate McAlpine aka aplinekat, rapping about the collider.

Yeah – “The things that [the collider] discovers, will rock you in the head.”
“Nothing” might have happened when the collider was switched on, but it just feels like the world was extraordinarily chaotic today. Perhaps I just need some sleep.
Woza weekend.
