Loftus 4 Jesus
// July 20th, 2008 // News, Photos // 21,070 views

Pretoria – The biggest crowd ever recorded at the well-known Loftus Versfeld stadium in Pretoria, gathered on Saturday to listen to farmer and preacher Angus Buchan. There were an estimated 70 000 people.
What a sight to see over 70 000 people lift their hands up for God and shout “hallelujah” and “amen”. I would definitely recommend it to everyone to try get tickets for the various other prayer meets around the country. The Lord’s blessing was very evident and powerful.
Acts 1:8 says:
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witness, telling people about me everywhere”
Together with the 70 000 on Loftus, I’m publicly proclaiming that God is my salvation and my strength.

Sadly, Angus Buchan is a false prophet as he hold to Latter Rain theology – which is a one way ticket to hell, sadly.
What may seem right and true, isn’t normally that – we need to test all things against the Word of God. Angus Buchan gives false hope, false reconciliation and preaches a false gospel.
The Bible carries a distinct doctrine (teaching) of an end-time apostasy in the Christian Church. Apostasy means a falling away from Biblical truth, and Latter Rain theology fails to rightly divide the Word of Truth – it takes the promises of God for Israel and gives them to the Church – which leads to blinding deception.
Jesus distinctly said in the New Testament that if we love Him we will follow His commandments. His commandments are His instructions and teachings – one of which is to beware of false prophets which come in the guise of wolves in sheep’s clothing which means that they look the part – but they teach lies and deception – Angus Buchan being just one of them.
I pray that God give you discernment to follow the narrow way.
Said with love and hope that you will see the Truth.

wow… what an incredible experience!!! gives me goosebumps just to imagine it!

Then laid they hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
And when Angus Buchan saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he hired Loftus Versveld and charged them money,
Saying, God gave me also this power, that whomsoever also buys the DVD of me praying and laying on hands, and possibly my book and movie, he may receive the Holy Ghost for the reasonable sum of R100 each: Cash or major credit card.
But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be sold as a book, a DVD and purchased by the faithless and lazy with money.
Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
Acts 8:18

And a prophet shall be known by his fruit….
How many people have you led to Jesus Christ in comparrison to Angus, accusers?Judge not lest ye be judge.
Word of encouragement Aguila, I was there and Jesus was greatly gloryfied. All the negative comment over the whole internet are from those who was not there. All the praises going up to Jesus because of what happened on Saturday are from people who where there and people who wasn’t.
God is moving, let us stand firm.

Ek het nog niemand “gelei” na Jesus toe, Hy doen dit self en ek voel Angus se “Jesus” is te goedkoop teen R100 per DVD, as dit al wat “Hy” kos en al wat Hy verwag van ‘n land met miljoene en miljoene wesies en ‘n kerk wat net haar selfbelange op die hart het – you have been brainwashed into thinking that telling God how cool He is over and over, and singing Him songs so that the prosperity gospel works for you is somehow pleasing to Him.
How come Peter opposed it so harshly but now it is okay? How come it made Jesus so angry he beat the men who turned His Father’s house into a place of business?
If money exchanged hands for multi-media products and merchandising – Jesus, His teachings, His miracles and His Spirit had a Rand value put on them and whether the organisers bought cocaine or rescued children – it is wrong. No matter how much any person who does that says: “Praise Jesus”, the money in their pocket makes the words in their mouth blasphemy and it sells Him into crucifixion for that hand full of money all over again.
Do you seriously want to claim to be praising God, when 95% percent of the country would never afford be able to afford the Christianity of Angus’ “Mighty Men” and no orphan could ever.
Do you maybe think that money could rescue the millions of orphans, when each child’s greatest need is to experience fatherhood and family first hand?
Which “Jesus” got praised, the multi-media Jesus and his cheap products, easy miracle pay off and a lovely ear tickle – or was it truly a call by a man of God for those attending to abandon their craven materialism, spiritual greed and and self-idolotary and repent and pray and rescue the millions of children abandoned by the church personally?
You were there, tell us.

Might I remind you that it was a calling on Paul du Toit to fill Loftus, not Angus’. Angus happened to be a family friend of du Toit and he was a guest speaker at the event, just like the sport and music personalities who shared their testimonies.
Second, if you thought the event was about Angus and not about God, then you’ve got your priorities wrong. The event was to praise and honour Jesus.
Is the whole point of creating DVD’s and broadcasting the event on radio and television not yet another way to spread the word of God to the world and to those who could not be there? How about the Louie Giglio, Indescribable Tour DVD? Is that wrong too? How about the
Passion Johannesburg Tour? The tickets for that is R100? Certainly a lot more than the Loftus event?Wouldn’t you buy gospel CD’s and DVD’s to uplift, encourage and spread the word of God? Surely if this was wrong, one should close down Christian bookstores immediately. Come on, get real.
Perhaps we should all build our close personal relationships with God and listen to Him to find the answers to these questions and stop judging others.

The Great Commission is clear- Go and preach the good news of Jesus who died and rose again. Jesus chose not to do it on his own, that’s why He gathered desciples to sow the seed the Holy Spirit will water. Why else did Paul and Peter and John then lead people to Christ? Jesus did how ever say only He will judge.
Loftus cost R20. Mighty Men Shalom asks R100 to pay the neighboring farms for the use of their land during the camp because they wont be able to plant for that season. You dont have to buy the dvd to get the message. It was free over 3 radio stations and a tv network. Shalom has an orphanige on the farm for abandoned and hiv kids. Shalom has been working under the Zulus for 20years and they still do. Only now has God called Angus to the farmers and hard in heart. I have only heard Angus preach repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation. Where
is this prosperity?Look at the spirit in which you attack Angus and defend yourself, Ehud.
Look at the siprit in which you attack those who does the work of God
the best they know how.God is moving, and I will stand firm.

No, we refuse to spend one cent on any multimedia product that uses Christ or His teachings for profit, no matter what the justification – there is none, it is immoral and is not supported from Scripture anywhere. What we do, we do directly and get our hands dirty – The commission Jesus gave to Peter on the beach after feeding him breakfast was not to sell those 153 fish He caused Peter to catch to finance his outreach to preach the gospel, He asked Peter to feed his lambs.
Three times. Feed them, feed them, feed them.
Angus came to Stellenbosch, he employed a local cult called Shofar, also a multimedia product front company posing as church. It is run by a self-styled pastor named Fred May who also plagiarises Christ’s teachings and sells “miracle” events – from a registered non-profit church 10% “tithing” front, and a back-door media cc (Shofar Publishing), selling DVD’s and books. The leadership bought sacks of potatoes to promote the show, then stamped them and sent the students in the Shofar “church” to dish out the food out all over Stellenbosch in shops and to strangers who looked like they could afford the tickets. When my wife told them to take the potatoes down to the squatters under the railway bridge to eat, they got angry and left.
I am not interested in a single word any man has to say who sells what our Lord gave us for free, I challenge any man anywhere to a live televised debate on this topic. Sell miracles???? Jesus needed to address it, and it needs to be addressed throughout Rhema, the IFCC and each of these so called mega-ministry fakes.
I challenge you to show me from Scripture, any place where our Lord would sanction or call upon something like these nonsense events. Simply because men say nice things about Him and some money changes hands – it is the Father’s will?
It is the Father’s will that none of these little one’s should perish. That is His will. Feed my lambs, feed, feed, feed.
Will you consider praying and ask the Father to help lead you to one of these least little ones and be like the leper who returned after being healed and say thank you the moment you feel those little arms around your neck. It is possible, that then and then alone in all this earth – will be the very first time you feel God MOVE. It is not necessary to pray for what you might consider I need in terms of repentance, I know what I say cuts, I understand the dismay – it felt right, so it has to be right. Unfortunately that is not Christian. We are told to pray and test the spirits.
Before you answered me, did you pray – truly pray and read what I had to say … I mean really pray. I am a nothing more than a child of God and a father with a calling: anointed, prayed over and sent out as a missionary to find and love the fatherless. I have no value to anyone in church politics and in fact am an enemy to those in the church who would use the Lord for cash tithes and cash sell His love, His miracles and teachings for money. I am an orphan who is a child of the Father and before all men and every principality I declare it blaspemy against His Spirit to pretend my Father called any man to sell Him. When has my Father ever needed anything but a willing heart full of His Love. When has my Father needed the gold and business of men?
If Jesus Christ is sold, in any way – He is sold into crucifixtion again. That is why so many curse Him. It is not my Father’s will, and it is not His will that any of these little ones perish.
Amen.
I wandered hungry in the rocky desert,
and he came to me out there …
His smile was kind and his eyes said warm.
The stones were what he pointed to, as he said to me:
Say the word, and I turn these to bread and gold. But my mouth is already full of bread
from my Father’s hand
I replied.He took me to a mountain
Showed me a forest and sea shore
Say the word he said
I’ll cut down those trees and turn them into books
I’ll melt that sand into plastic disks
purse, a thousand times its worthMy Father’s world must be fed and loved
and rejoice in abundance of life
not cut and burnt, was my replyHe took me to the highest building
Of the richest city on the planet
and showed me a huge screen
Worship me he said
And I will put your face
on every one of those in this world
The eye of all men will fall on youBegone, I said
Only my Father’s eye falls true on me
And my Father sees the greed and pride
Of all men too.I had a dream in prison, I was standing in Heaven and it was the Day of Judgement. The Church was judged first and the leadership were brought to the front. The angels walked down the endless ranks and down the ages past big men dressed in high pomp and fineries, expensive silk suits and red garmine robes, all men with beautiful looking countenances and sweet cultured voices. The angels did not look at them or listen, they tore most of the men’s faces off and flung them down – face first and what Heaven saw revealed was behind the masks. I saw teeth and jaws like slavering beasts behind the skin. It was hard to notice those whose faces the angels had not removed but they were very hard to see anyway.
Do you prefer that Day to this?

I came across this site by chance and read with sadness some of the comments.. I have a comment I would like to add for Ehud – you use the internet to make your comments – who pays for it?
-
Hi Razz,
Thanks for stopping by. Yes, unfortunately it is sad that some people have a different, albeit misguided, view. Trust the Lord and He will show you the right way.
Blessings.

Seen the movie, and I’ve got the devotional. Really inspiring stuff.
