Lightning strikes twice

I’ve had a change of heart for the Split Second Theme to be published in Issue 15 and changed my submission from the “You can leave your hat on” to this one. It’s one I took earlier this year during a typical Highveld thunder storm and I think it works better with the overall concept of the theme.
“Split-second is about photography that catches the action at just the right moment. Show us your shots where a few seconds can make all the difference – the goalie in mid-dive, a Formula One photo-finish, that decisive moment right before the scene changes completely. In photography, sometimes timing is everything.
I’m sure you’ll all agree that this picture is probably better suited than the previous one. Any comments/thoughts/critique?
PS: After this post, I’ll lay off the gratuitous self-promotion for a while. Thanks for voting by the way.
