Wetting the appetite

Just a little something to wet the appetite a bit. Some new content on its way.
I was in London, UK recently for a business meeting and have been craving a black forest gateau since the time I saw Heston Blumenthal’s version on BBC Food.
This one comes courtesy of the Meliá White House room service menu. Man it was good.

Eric, the black forrest gateau a-la Heston Blumenthal is made up of six layers: a madeleine biscuit base, topped with aerated chocolate, chocolate sponge, kirsch cream, chocolate ganache and chocolate mousse. Oh and don’t forget the sour cherries.
