Currie Cup Tied

The result of the Currie Cup Final is in and its a tie. Although the game was uninspiring at times, the end result was probably a fair reflection of the game. It would have been better if all the opportunities converted to points on the board, that eventually tied at 28-all.
Joel Stransky even quipped after the match, something to the tune of “…the victory was like kissing your own sister…” (Nasty thought, but probably true – a bit of an anti-climax)
Although the Blue Bulls and the Cheetahs might be sharing the Currie Cup, the actual winners on the day were undoubtedly the headline sponsors, ABSA and Vodacom. Vodacom in particular, who has the rights to both teams through its comprehensive sponsorship package, benefitted most on the day. Go Vodacom…
