My car’s thermometer does a strange thing – if parked outdoors (shade or sun), it reflects a higher temperature when I start the car. After I drive a bit, it comes down to the “true” temperature i.e. the temperature reflected on those bright electronic advertising boards that have the power to blind…

After driving around a while, the thermometer did drop, but only to around 31.

Not sure exactly how these things work….hey maybe there’s a blog post in there somewhere?

I can vouch for this, I was up thatta way on that day and got roasted and toasted too!

Yeah, I been getting plenty over 30 degrees readings lately too during the day (also in Joburg). And then it drops at night to low teens – recipe for flu. The only thing that will keep summer from being a scorcher is regular rain. Here’s hoping…

bring on the rain, cos the humidity sucks….
