My Moon Pictures

I may have mentioned before that I have a weird fascination with the moon. So much so, that it was one of the influencing factors when I upgraded my digital camera some time ago. It had to be able to take pictures of the moon. This meant full manual settings and an adequate zoom lens.
Below are just a few pics I have taken of the moon while playing around with the camera. By no means impressive, but I’ll get there eventually. Just a note regarding the brown/orange coloured pictures – Those were taken with the “heat” setting adjusted slighlty, just so see what kind of effect it gives. I think it gives the moon a bit more life, other than the plain grey version.
Interesting to note the rotation of the moon during the two phases. It is particularly noticeable if you compare the craters/valleys on the left hand side of the top two pictures with those on the bottom picture. The pictures (top vs bottom) were taken 8 days apart.
Some previous pictures of mine also include the lunar eclipse of 2004.
