Gone Batty
// May 1st, 2006 // News, Vanity Plates // 1,983 views
An article on Sunday in Rapport suggested that one particular vanity plate in Gauteng can fetch up to R1 million.
The number plate in question – none other than 1 GP, which is apparently the most sought after number plate in the province.
Some other number plates have been valued at ridiculous amounts. The plate, 9 GP (Joost van der Westhuizen‘s) is currently valued at R100,000 – although he (Joost) didn’t pay that much when he bought his a few years ago.
Have we gone completely batty? Judging by the next vanity plate, it seems we may have. Or is it that he thinks he is Batman, or an avid cricketer?

i really don’t understand things like “moocow gp” or “patroon gp”… i get their meaning- but why oh why put that on a numberplate!?!
