Amazing Lego Creations

As a kid I really enjoyed playing with Lego and to this day I find myself glancing over at some of the Lego kits every now and again.
I may have built the odd army fortress, car or super-zapper-alien-deathray, but never in my wildest dreams would I think of building a Sports Arena. Apparently this is also the largest Lego building in the world standing tall at 5 m x 4.50 m in width and is 1 m in height, weighing 1.5 tons.

If that wasn’t enough, some bright spark with a couple of thousand bucks in his fist and months of patience, painstakingly built an aircraft carrier – complete with moving parts such as hangars and catapults and electrical lights on deck.

Then there are the weird ones – such as building a full-scale Volvo XC90 out of lego, or recreating the scene from Star Wars where Han Solo gets carbonised.

Also check out these previous links: Batman film and the Brick Testament for some other interesting applications of Lego bricks.
