Metro To Swoop On JHB Beggars

News just in from IOL & SAPA. “According to Inspector Edna Mamonyane from the JHB Metro Police, beggars at major intersections in Johannesburg will be pulled off the streets on Thursday. She said police planned to pick up as many beggars as time permitted in greater Johannesburg, including Randburg, Sandton and Roodepoort, between 9.30am and 2pm.”

Get your cameras out, ‘cos we’re going to see miracles happen. Not for Metro finally doing something about the beggar problem at our intersections, but for the miraculous cures we’re about to see.

Afflictions such as hunchbackorreia, bentlegasitis and temporary ‘blindness’ will probably disappear as quickly as you can say ‘No thank you I don’t want 200 plastic bags or 10 coat hangers.’
