According to ITWeb, “Local gamers will get the opportunity to qualify for the first FIFA Interactive World Cup taking place in Switzerland during December.
Launched in Germany last month, the event will pit the best FIFA 2005 Xbox gamers from across the world at the FIFA World Player of the Year Gala. Starting in Johannesburg on 23 October, the qualifying tournaments will visit eight cities, including New York, London and Paris.”
Apparently the Xbox console is not currently available in South Africa as yet and according to the report, “competitors will have the opportunity to practice the title on the Xbox football pots at the venue before the competition starts.”
Now if I’m not mistaken, it takes some skill to play football on any PC or console and to attain the required skills, one obviously needs quite a bit of time to practice. I just think that our gamers will not have enough time to practice the game before competition starts.
Anyone interested in registering to get the rest of the details?
