Cotlands African Charity Ball

I was fortunate to attend the Cotlands African Charity Ball on 11 September with the rest of the office crowd. It was quite fun, not to mention the fundraising auction and the live entertainment provided by our own resident pop-diva TK.
The auction of the photographic prints was held in high spirits, with every table trying to outbid the other. TK’s performance was simply amazing. She performed a number of her new songs, including her latest hit single, Tell Him, which is currently burning up the 5FM music charts.
For those who don’t know, Cotlands is a long-serving South African ‘non-profit’ agency that continues to meet the ever-changing needs of children impacted by HIV/AIDS in our country.
Founded in 1936, Cotlands was originally established as a care centre for unwed mothers and their infants, but in the last decade the organisation has evolved into a shelter for abused, abandoned and HIV-positive terminally ill children from birth to nine years of age.
Quite obviously the organisation is dependent on the contributions of corporates and the public at large, so if you’re interested in finding out how to assist, go view the Cotlands website for more details.
